Bulk discount codes

A bulk campaign creates many unique codes at once. Every code has the same discount and rules, but each one can be limited to a single use, which makes them right for mailings, print inserts and giveaways.

Create a campaign#

1. In diex, create a new bulk discount.
2. Choose how to get the codes:
   • Generate: set How many codes?, an optional prefix such as VIP-, and the code length.
   • Import: upload a text file with one code per line. The file can be up to 1 MB, and it should not contain codes that already exist in your store.
3. Choose the Discount Type:
   • Percentage or Fixed amount off. For a fixed amount you can choose Only apply discount once per order; otherwise the amount comes off each eligible item.
   • Free shipping, to the countries you select.
   • Buy X get X.
4. Choose what the discount applies to, and any minimum purchase requirement.
5. Set usage limits, active dates and combinations.
6. Create the codes. They are regular Shopify discount codes and appear in your Shopify admin.

Usage limits#

Two limits stop a code from spreading:

• Limit the number of times this discount can be used in total, with a maximum number of uses.
• Limit to one use per customer.

Ideas#

• Email and SMS: one code per subscriber shows which segment converted.
• Print and events: one code per package or ticket, usable once.
• Partners: import codes a partner already gave out and honor them in your store.
