Troubleshooting

What to check when a discount does not apply or a storefront block does not show.

A discount does not apply at checkout

Check, in this order:

  1. Dates. Is the discount active now? A discount with a future start date is scheduled.
  2. Method. A code discount only applies after the customer enters the code.
  3. What it applies to. Are the products in the cart covered by the discount?
  4. Tiers. Does the cart reach the first tier? For volume discounts, check Count quantity across: counting each cart line on its own needs more of one variant to reach a tier.
  5. Eligibility. If the discount is for tagged customers, first orders or signed-in customers, test as a customer who qualifies.
  6. Combinations. If another discount applies and the two are not allowed to combine, Shopify applies the better one for the customer.

A storefront block does not show

  1. Did you press Publish discounts to theme blocks on the diex dashboard after adding the blocks?
  2. Is the block's Discount to show set to the title of an active discount, or left empty?
  3. Is the customer eligible? Blocks only show discounts the current customer can use.
  4. Is the cart in your shop currency? Spend blocks hide themselves in other currencies.
  5. The fixed spend progress bar is hidden while the cart is empty.

Billing and uninstalling

diex is billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice. Uninstalling the app ends the subscription. Volume, variable and spend tiers discounts run on diex, so they stop applying when the app is uninstalled.
