Getting started
Install diex, create your first discount and show it on your storefront.
diex adds volume discounts, variable discounts, spend tiers, bulk code campaigns and storefront blocks to your Shopify store. This guide takes you from install to a live discount.
1. Install the app
Open diex on the Shopify App Store and choose Install. Shopify asks you to approve the permissions the app needs, such as editing discounts, and to approve the subscription, which is billed on your Shopify invoice.
After installing, open diex any time from Apps in your Shopify admin.
2. Pick a discount type
The dashboard lists your diex discounts and lets you create a new one:

| Spend tiers | Bigger discounts as the order total grows |
| Bulk discount codes | Many unique codes that share the same rules |
3. Choose a code or an automatic discount
Volume, variable and spend tiers discounts have a Method: a Discount code that customers type at checkout, or an Automatic discount that applies on its own. A code needs a code; an automatic discount needs a title, which customers see in the cart and at checkout.
4. Set who, when and how it combines
Every discount can be limited to some customers (see customer eligibility), scheduled with start and end dates, and set to combine with other discounts or not (see scheduling, limits and combinations).
5. Show it on your storefront
Add the diex blocks in the theme editor so customers see the offer before checkout, then press Publish discounts to theme blocks on the diex dashboard once. After that, every save updates the blocks on its own. See storefront blocks.
6. Test it
Before you announce a discount, add products to a cart in your online store and check the discount at checkout. If something looks wrong, the troubleshooting guide covers the usual causes.
