Spend tiers

Give bigger discounts as the order total grows, on the whole order or on selected products and collections.

Spend tiers reward bigger orders. For example: 10% off from $100 and 15% off from $200.

Create a spend tiers discount

  1. In diex, create a new spend tiers discount.
  2. Choose the Method: a discount code or an automatic discount.
  3. Choose Percentage or Fixed amount under Discount value. It applies to every tier.
  4. Add tiers. Each tier has a minimum spend in your shop currency and its own discount value.
  5. Choose what it covers: the whole order, or selected products and collections.
  6. Set eligibility, dates and combinations, then save.

Show progress in the cart

Two storefront blocks show customers how close they are to the next tier:

  • Spend tiers progress, an app block for the cart page, a cart drawer or any section. It shows the tier reached as a badge, the amount left to the next tier and a milestone bar, and updates after every cart change.
  • Spend tiers progress bar (fixed), an app embed you turn on under Theme settings, App embeds. It sits at the top or bottom of the page and hides itself while the cart is empty.

If you run more than one spend tiers discount, use the block's Discount to show setting to pick one. Left empty, the blocks show the active automatic whole-order spend discount worth the most at the current cart total.

Good to know

  • Thresholds are amounts in your shop currency. The progress blocks hide themselves when the cart is in another currency, so they never show a wrong amount.
  • Spend tiers run as a Shopify Function and apply in the cart and at checkout.
